Celebrating Growth: Zahari Dzhelepov’s Inspiring 5-Year Journey at MWS

In the fast-paced world of software development, few stories capture the spirit of growth, resilience, and passion quite like Zahari’s. From a nervous first day in the midst of a global pandemic to becoming one of the key members of the MWS team, Zahari’s 5-year journey is a testament to perseverance, curiosity, and the power of continuous learning.

The First Chapter -A New Beginning in Uncertain Times

Can you take us back to your very first day at MWS?

“Many things were going through my head,” Zahari recalls. “It was October – just three months since I’d returned to Bulgaria after finishing my Bachelor’s in Denmark. I was excited but also nervous. This was my first real job back home, and I wanted to live up to my own expectations – and those of my employer.”

What was your first role at the company, and how did it feel stepping into it?

I started as a JavaScript Software Developer,” Zahari explains. “It was my first job working with JavaScript, and I was thrilled to finally do what I’d always wanted – build, learn, and grow as a developer.

But the start wasn’t as smooth as expected. “Funny enough, I began just as COVID hit. I’d spent only a week in the office with my mentor before we were all sent home. Then I got sick, and honestly, I thought I wouldn’t even make it through my 6-month probation. Little did I know, that was just the start of something incredible.”

Growing with MWS – Learning, Adapting, Evolving

How has the company supported your growth over the years?

“Over the years, I’ve learned so much here – not just about code, but about teamwork, communication, and problem-solving,” Zahari says. “Some of my colleagues have given me not only programming lessons but life lessons as well. For that, I’ll always be grateful.”

Was there a particular project or challenge that helped you grow the most?

There isn’t just one,” Zahari smiles. “Every project teaches me                          something new. But there was one that really stood out – it                                helped me kickstart my critical thinking and pushed me to                              grow in ways I hadn’t before.”

He continues, “That project involved a lot of client interaction and constant feedback, and we had several developers working on it at the same time. It taught me how to collaborate effectively with multiple teammates, manage parallel tasks, and keep communication clear across the board. I also learned how to speak with clients directly – to listen carefully, understand their needs, and deliver results that genuinely satisfied them.”

“It wasn’t always easy,” Zahari adds, “but it showed me how much                 teamwork, communication, and adaptability matter when you want to deliver something truly great.”

Moments That Matter – Lessons from the Journey

What are the most important lessons you’ve learned at MWS?

One of the biggest lessons is the importance of teamwork and                       clear communication,”

Zahari reflects. “I’ve also learned that adaptability is key. Priorities change fast – especially in our team – and the ability to stay flexible makes all the difference. You can’t control everything, but you can always control how you respond.”

Inspiration – Looking Back and Ahead

What motivates you to come to work every day – even after 5 years?

Zahari laughs, “Getting paid, I guess!” before adding more seriously, “But honestly, I love what I do. I’ve always dreamed of developing games. It’s not exactly the gaming industry, but every working animation, every piece of code that comes to life – it’s deeply satisfying. Seeing a project go from concept to release, even spotting someone playing it on YouTube, that’s the best feeling.”

What advice would you give to someone just starting their career here?

“Don’t rush it. There’s time to learn, and there are people here                             who’ll help you – just ask questions. It takes a little while to find your rhythm, but once you do, you’ll shine. There’s so much support and opportunity here; you just have to reach for it.”

How would you describe MWS to someone thinking about joining?

“I’d describe MWS as a place that values both people and                                  progress. The culture encourages initiative, teamwork, and personal growth. Beyond developing your skills, you grow as a person here. There are so many opportunities – all you need is the curiosity to take them.”

The Journey Continues

From those first nervous steps back in Bulgaria to becoming a cornerstone of his team, Zahari ’s story reflects the heart of what MWS stands for – growth, resilience, and passion for technology.

Five years in, he continues to build, learn, and inspire – one line of code at a time.
