Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:

•  People Development: Foster a positive work environment to nurture and grow individual team members. This includes tracking performance, promoting feedback and constructive criticism, and facilitating team bonding.
•  Technical Strategy: Work with senior developers to shape and guide the overarching technical strategy, maintaining a language-agnostic approach.  
•  Agile Delivery Management: Oversee the successful execution of Agile methodologies in project delivery, ensuring all processes, such as Scrum ceremonies, are properly implemented and followed.
•  Performance Management: Monitor, evaluate, and ensure the team is meeting its Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
•  Quality Assurance: Assume responsibility for the end-to-end QA strategy, ensuring high-quality output from the team and continuous improvements in processes and systems.
•  Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and remove blockers to maintain team unity and morale.
•  Rewards Management: Advocate for both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards to motivate and acknowledge the team's accomplishments.
•  Client relationship management: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction through excellent service and communication.
•  Contribute to Technology Chapters: Actively participate in and contribute to technology-focused initiatives and discussions. Use your expertise and experience to guide best practices, introduce emerging technologies, and support the professional growth of chapter members. 

Key Qualifications:

• A proven track record of successful leadership in a similar engineering management role.
• Proficient background in Node.js /Java or similar programming languages.
• Leadership skills with an ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies and related processes and ceremonies.
• Demonstrable experience in devising and implementing robust technical strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of automated QA strategies and methodologies, with a focus on improving efficiency and quality.
• Superior problem-solving abilities, with a knack for navigating and resolving complex situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
